Thrift Store Associate Job
Summary:
This person will assist with Thrift Store operations in the sorting, restocking, organizing, hanging, and circulating inventory, ringing customer sales on the cash register, while maintaining positive customer relations.

Responsibilities:
Promote a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for donors, customers, and for those in need of stock in an organized manner to optimize and sustain sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction Work closely in a team effort to maintain the organization and rotation of stock, promote health and safety, security and emergency systems, capabilities for staff and customer awareness, according to Center policy and relevant law Work cooperatively with the volunteers that assist with the donation and inventory of items for the Thrift Store Assume responsibility for pricing and displaying all house wares Assume responsibility for sorting and hanging clothes that are donated Assume responsibility for helping donors process their donated items with in a caring and appreciative manner Assume responsibility for promoting quality customer relations through positive communications, sales marketing, culturally sensitive interactions with diverse persons and levels of need among staff and the public Manifest the mission of the Center in your attitude, words, interactions, and services at all times Maintain a high standard of honesty, trust, integrity in the handling of the items donated to the Prince of Peace Center from donation through disposition of those items Plan and implement advertising and promotional strategies/ activities Assume responsibility for weekly record keeping and inventory Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Capable of performing the outlined tasks effectively and efficiently with a passion for the mission of Prince of Peace Center Willing to learn, be flexible, and capable of dealing with difficult people and situations in an appropriate and professional manner Possess capable physical health enabling repetitive activity such as bending, reaching, walking, carrying, hanging clothing items, and lifting a 40 pound item Able to obtain/ maintain the Clearances required for employment at the Center Be responsible, mature, independent, use good judgment and have experience with various types of people Be able to pass a drug screen at start of employment and whenever requested Working Conditions:
